Tournament Info

 

 

The House of Sports is proud to announce the 2nd annual Girls Lacrosse 5v5 Winter Tournament! This year's tournament will take place February 19th, 2017 at the House of Sports. The 5th/6th Grade Division will be played on 20x40 yard field and the 7th/8th Grade and High School Divisions will play on a 60x40 yard field. Games will consist of 5v5 field players, plus a goalie and will begin at 3:00pm.

Tournament Rules

5th/6th Grade Rules
  • 25 min Games
  • All games are 5v5 plus a goalie
  • No timeouts
  • No out of bounds, we play off the walls.
  • No offsides, all 5 players can go anywhere on the floor
  • A pass rule will be put into effect if a team is winning by 10 goals
  • Following goals, the goalie will clear the ball out into play
  • Draws will only take place at the start of the game
  • Fouls: Player who received a yellow card has to get off the field and stay off for 1 minute; a new player has to come on.
  • Checking: Modified Checking| No Checking above the shoulders
7th/8th Grade Rules
  • 25 min Games
  • All games are 5v5, plus a goalie
  • No timeouts
  • No out of bounds
  • No offsides- all 5 players can go anywhere on the floor
  • Following goals, the goalie will clear the ball out into play
  • Draws will only take place at the start of each game
  • Fouls- Player who received a yellow card has to get off the field and stay off for 1 minute; new player has to come on.
  • Checking: Full Checking

 

High School Rules

  • 25 min Games
  • All games are 5v5 plus a a goalie

Equipment

  • Mouth guards and goggles are mandatory at all levels.
  • Close fitting gloves and soft headgear are permitted; no hard helmets may be worn except by the goalie
  • Goalie must wear helmet, throat protector, chest protector, gloves, shoulder pads and arm pads. Some type of leg padding for the goalie is required. All protective devices used should be close fitting, padded where necessary, and not be of excessive weight.
  • Lacrosse Stick is needed!

*Unsportsmanlike Conduct will not be tolerated!*

All Participants must be current US Lacrosse Members.
