Ardsley, NY – A community board comprised of Ardsley residents announces the formation of the Ardsley Youth Lacrosse program. The program is being launched in conjunction with the Ardsley Panther Booster Club and the House of Sports. The program is offered to boys and girls that live in Ardsley between 1 st grade and High School.

Programming will start this winter. Clinic-based training is offered for grades 1st through 6th. A combination of training and league play is offered for grades 7th through High School. Ardsley Youth Lacrosse will continue clinic-based programming in the Spring, while also fielding teams that will compete against other Westchester town programs.

“The Ardsley Panther Booster Club is excited to support this Ardsley lacrosse program,” Robert Segall, President of the Ardsley Panther Booster Club said. “The House of Sports has state of the art facilities that allows for all weather training and top-rated staff.”

The community board has made a strategic partnership with the House of Sports to both base the program out the Ardsley facility, while also enlisting the company's staff to oversee the coaching and training of athletes.

“Quality sports programming and strong community ties are both major priorities for House of Sports,” Frank Lombardy, House of Sports General Manager said. “This partnership with Ardsley Youth Lacrosse is a true winner for everyone involved as our facility and staff have the opportunity help build a great program.”

The goal of this program is to grow the game of lacrosse throughout Ardsley and act as a feeder system for the Modified and High School teams.

“We are pleased to offer the youth of Ardsley the opportunity to learn and compete within the sport of lacrosse,” Ricardo Williams, House of Sports Director of Boys Lacrosse said. “When you look at most perennial lacrosse powers in Westchester County, they are supported by a strong youth program and we are excited to help start that here.”

The Ardsley Youth Lacrosse program will kick-off their first season with a free Open House Clinic at the House of Sports on Sunday, November 25. The boys clinic for grades 1st through 8th will be from 4 to 5pm and the girls clinic (for the same grades) is from 5 to 6pm. Players will be broken up by grade for the clinic. A coaches Q&A will also be held during each clinic. The Open House Clinic is free, but pre-registration is
recommended as spots are limited. Register by calling the House of Sports at 914-479-5419 or clicking here. High School players that are looking to participate in a winter league are encouraged to contact Ardsley Youth Lacrosse board member Ben Grossman via email at B_Grossman@yahoo.com.
